Hi, Could I use a piping stress software to perform a piping stress analysis of a round ducting system? Hot air (at 196 Celsius design temperature and at 600 Celsius Upset Condition) is conveyed through this system from a Flotation Dryer to a Cyclone Separator and then from the Cyclone Separator to a Scrubber. Ducting from Dryer to Cyclone Separator is 60 inches. Ducting from Cyclone Separator outlet to scrubber is 57 inches. Thickness of ducting is 1/2 inches. Ducting Material is CSA G40.21 44W / 300W . There are Expansion Joints on both sides of the Cyclone Separator. There is an anchor point a few feet away from the Dryer Outlet and an anchor point a few away from the Scrubber Inlet. The Client of that industrial ducting system has assigned my engineering company to determine that. The Client standards I had access to did nit have such information..
